Climb For Animals Eggs Best Eggs to Hatch: Best Picks by Goal
Compare Climb For Animals Eggs eggs by documented hatch times, access limits and realized payouts, then pick the best egg to hatch for your goal.
There is no single "best egg" in Climb For Animals Eggs — the right pick depends on your goal, how high you can climb, and how long you are willing to wait. Eggs are not bought; they are stolen from spots along the climb, carried or dropped back down, and placed at your base to hatch. So the real question is: which egg can you actually reach and bring home, what does its timer say, and what did eggs like it produce before?
Based on two full recorded runs, the short version:
- For money: climb as high as your speed and energy allow and take the highest-quality egg you find up there. The recorded player passed up bigger eggs for the one whose Radiant level was higher because it "should produce a lot of money" — and high-area eggs hatched for 450 million to 300 billion in those runs, against a few hundred near the ground.
- For easy repeat farming: when a Radiant egg's timer runs too long, take Eternal instead — "Eternal means I can come back for the eggs up there whenever, easy chill."
- Before committing: read the timer on that specific egg (high eggs ranged from about 6 minutes to over 12 hours) and check its traits — a Rainbow marker stretched an 8-minute hatch into an hour.
- Never pick on the label alone: a legendary egg hatched a plain dog.
What makes one egg better than another
Every egg follows the same loop: climb to a spawn, steal the egg, dive down before the steal window closes, place it at your base, wait out its timer, and hatch it. The full hatch process is covered in the how to hatch eggs guide. Three things decide whether an egg is worth that trip:
- Outcome — what eggs of that type and height have actually hatched, and what the animal was worth when placed.
- Timer — the countdown shown on the egg itself.
- Access — whether you can reach that height and get back down in time.
Quality labels appear on the eggs themselves, roughly in the order you meet them going up: Wooden, Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Divine, Radiant, Eternal, then Royal and Vassal, with a tier called Special observed above Eternal near the top. Higher tiers generally sit higher up the climb and pay more — but the label is a claim, not a promise. Traits and markers stack on top of labels: Rainbow, Golden and a hacker trait all showed up in the recordings, and Rainbow directly changes your wait ("okay, 8 minutes. But once it gets the Rainbow trait, it turns into an hour").
Temporary boosts move the timer too. One session had a shop option for "2x faster hatching" and an event granting "hatch speed x25, speed boost, money x3, and luck too". Events rotate — a later session had no egg-hatching event at all — so the same egg can be a much different wait depending on when you steal it.
Documented eggs: timers, hatches and payouts
Every number below comes from one of two recorded sessions. Treat them as a scale, not price tags: payouts were affected by traits and money multipliers (x3 up to x15 appeared), and the recordings do not settle whether the number you see on an animal is ongoing income, a sell value or both — one dragon showed as "producing 59 coins" while a fox was placed at 47B. Compare roughly, not to the coin.
| Egg (as labelled) | Where it sat | Timer shown | Hatched | Value seen that run |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Golden egg | Low on the climb | 20–30 seconds | Fish | About 900 when sold |
| Big early egg | Low area | 2 minutes | Dog-like animal | 772 |
| Legendary egg | Early climb | — | A plain dog | — |
| Winter bear-area egg | Winter area | 40 seconds | Large animal | 280,000 |
| Dragon egg | Mid-climb | 6 minutes | Lava Dragon | 59 coins while producing |
| Ocean rainbow egg | Ocean area | 20 minutes | — | — |
| Event rainbow eggs | During an egg-giveaway event | 20 minutes | Giraffe, fish, bear, owl | — |
| Dinosaur-area egg | Dinosaur area | 6 hours | Dinosaur | 450 million; a later one 800 million |
| Radiant egg | High | 8 hours | Fox with a hacker trait | 47B |
| Radiant egg | High | "Hatches pretty fast" | Pegasus | 120B |
| Golden dragon egg | Near the summit | 2 hours 40 minutes | Golden dragon | 300B |
| Tough high egg | Near the top | 12 hours | Gorilla | 5B |
| Eternal egg | High | — | 5-tailed fox | — |
| Golden demon egg | Summit | Over 12 hours | — | — |
The pattern holds across both runs: low eggs open in seconds to a couple of minutes and pay in the hundreds, winter-area and mid eggs pay from about 280,000 into the millions, and the dinosaur area upward paid from the hundreds of millions to 300B — with waits stretching from about 6 minutes to over 12 hours. Where each tier spawns along the climb is covered in the egg locations guide.
Best egg picks by goal
If your goal is money: climb as high as speed and energy allow, then take the highest-quality egg you find there. The recorded reasoning: "Maybe the snake is better, but the fox is huge. This one, its Radiant level is higher, let's take this one. It should produce a lot of money." Documented high-area results back that up — a dinosaur at 450–800 million, a Radiant fox at 47B, a Pegasus at 120B and a golden dragon at 300B, all far above the 772–900 that low eggs paid.
One warning from the same run: do not assume the top label is automatically the best deal. The golden dragon egg showed 2 hours 40 minutes and hatched for 300B, while an 8-hour Radiant egg hatched a fox for 47B — less waiting, more money. Compare the timer and recent results, not just the tier name.
If your goal is repeat farming: use the recorded rule of thumb — "If Radiant takes too long, Eternal is better. Eternal means I can come back for the eggs up there whenever, easy chill." But note the same player also watched a Radiant egg hatch "pretty fast" while "Vassal and Royal take a long time", so Eternal-over-Radiant is a rule for long timers, not a fixed ranking. Read the timer on the individual egg before deciding. More ways to shorten the loop are in the how to farm eggs fast guide.
Early on: you cannot reach the top yet, so take the best egg within reach. Golden eggs low on the climb opened in 20–30 seconds and paid a few hundred, a 2-minute big egg paid 772, and a 40-second egg from the winter area paid 280,000. Short timers mean a fast steal-and-hatch loop while your speed is still growing — the how to get speed fast guide covers pushing your reach upward.
Before any long steal, check you can get back. A climb takes about a minute, and near the summit "it really takes a minute to climb... Because it only gives 5 minutes, I can probably only climb 2-3 times." Energy can run out before you reach a target ("out of energy before I reached it"), and eggs can vanish seconds before you grab them. Rebirth — available from 10k speed — resets your progress but raises what you can reach, and the recorded player could go much farther at 100,000 speed. Base and park space also cap how many animals you keep; a full house forced a 1-million upgrade in one run. See when to rebirth and how to expand base for those systems.
When rare does not equal best
The recordings are blunt about labels not predicting results:
- A legendary egg hatched a plain dog: "Oops, legendary. Steal it... Oh, I got a dog."
- An Eternal egg produced a 5-tailed fox where a nine-tailed fox was expected: "Nine-tailed fox...wait, it only has 5."
- The player skipped uncommon and rare eggs outright: "lots of great eggs but they're uncommon. Don't want uncommon" and "a sparkle, it's rare level. I don't want rare, or maybe...oh, only bad stuff."
- Size was not the tiebreaker either — he took the higher-Radiant egg over a bigger fox.
The reliable way to judge an egg is what you can actually see on it: the label, the timer, the trait markers, and what eggs from that height have paid before. That is why this page never ranks eggs by rarity — if you are curious about the extreme end of the scale, see the rarest egg guide, but do not confuse rare with best.
Whichever goal you are chasing — biggest payout or easiest loop — pick the egg that matches it, check its timer and traits, and make sure you can reach it and get down in time.
