When to Rebirth in Climb For Animals Eggs

Deciding when to rebirth in Climb For Animals Eggs? See what rebirth multiplies, what it wipes, and why observed players rebirth at the end of a session.

Rebirth in Climb For Animals Eggs erases all of your trained Speed and, in return, multiplies your earnings — including the Cash your placed Animals generate while you're offline — and lets you climb even farther. Since the Speed wipe is the only documented cost, the timing question comes down to one thing: how much of your Speed you still need. Stay in your current run while you're still climbing toward something; rebirth at the end of a session, once you're done spending Speed for the day. That is not an invented threshold — it's the pattern in every rebirth decision captured on record, and this guide sticks to a structural rule because no source publishes the multiplier, cost or re-farm time a numeric one would require.

What a rebirth changes

The official description commits to exactly two gains: "Rebirth to multiply your earnings and climb even farther!"

  • Multiplied earnings. Your income includes the Cash that Animals placed at your base generate — see our guide to animal income — and those Animals keep earning while you're offline, so the multiplier compounds a stream that never pauses.
  • Farther climbing. A rebirth also extends how far you can climb, which is how new biomes and the eggs perched up there come into reach.

The documented cost sits on the other side: trained Speed. Speed comes from one place — the treadmill, per the game's own loop ("Train on the treadmill to gain Speed") — and it is what a rebirth demonstrably takes away. In the one rebirth captured in detail, a player pressed the button after a late-session shopping run and immediately reported that all of his Speed was gone, while his Cash still read 30 million. Treat that Cash detail narrowly: it is one observed activation, not a guarantee that Cash always survives.

Everything else the reset touches is unstated. The official text names no multiplier value and no reset list, so the fate of placed Animals, hatched Eggs, base expansion, purchased upgrades and your current climb height is simply not documented — nor is whether the +10K Speed bonus for liking the game and joining the group survives. The same silence covers the magnitudes a timing formula would need: multiplier size, rebirth price and how long the post-rebirth Speed re-farm takes. Any "rebirth at X Speed" threshold would therefore be invented, which is why this page deals in a structural rule instead.

When rebirthing right away can help

Both recorded players treated rebirth as a way to close out a session, and the shape of the benefit explains why. The multiplier attaches to your earnings, and those earnings include the passive Cash your placed Animals generate while you are offline — so once you rebirth, the boost keeps paying out after you log off (see our guide to offline earnings). The extra climb range, meanwhile, is waiting for you at the start of the next session.

The case for pressing the button is strongest, then, when the Speed you would lose is Speed you were done spending anyway: climbs finished, eggs collected, shopping done. One recorded player did exactly that — closing his session with a shopping run (a 1 million purchase, a 3 million purchase, then an 18 million buy made with 30 million on hand) and hitting the rebirth button only afterwards.

When staying in your current run is the better call

Mid-run is when the wipe bites. The same player who rebirthed at the end of his session had earlier weighed the button mid-run and refused it on exactly that basis: "Should I rebirth? If I rebirth, I have to farm speed again. Better upgrade this instead." He bought an upgrade instead. Earlier in the session, just spotting the rebirth button next to his stats drew the reaction "Wow, have to run again now."

Stay in the run, then, while your Speed is actively working: while you are still climbing toward a biome or an egg, or saving up for a shop tier. Rebirthing mid-climb converts all of that trained Speed back into an unknown-length stretch of treadmill hours. When you do need to rebuild, our speed training guide and how to get speed fast cover the treadmill side — and it is worth a quick look at our Codes page before you settle into the grind.

How recorded players actually timed it

No player in the recorded sessions stated a numeric rule, so the most concrete guidance available is the decisions themselves:

Point in the sessionDecisionRecorded reason or result
Early in a runNoticed the rebirth button next to his stats, kept playing"Wow, have to run again now"
Mid-run, with upgrades turning expensivePostponed rebirth and bought an upgrade instead"If I rebirth, I have to farm speed again. Better upgrade this instead."
End of the sessionHurried to activate after finishing the egg-collecting content"Gotta hurry and rebirth, hit the rebirth button"
End of a second player's sessionActivated right after a 30-million shopping runAll trained Speed gone on the spot; Cash still read 30 million

The pattern is consistent — every recorded hesitation happened mid-run over the Speed cost, and every recorded activation came at the end of a session — but it is behavior observed across two sessions, not a rule the game enforces.

Making the call in your own run

  1. Ask what your Speed is doing right now. If it is carrying you toward a biome, an egg or a purchase you still want this session, staying in the run protects it. If the day's climbing is done, the wipe costs you little today.
  2. Weigh the two documented sides against your own numbers. On the benefit side, put whatever your base earns — the multiplier compounds that stream both while you play and while you are away. On the cost side, put the Speed you would have to re-farm on the treadmill. Because the game publishes no multiplier value, no rebirth price and no re-farm time, this comparison stays qualitative — and that is exactly where an honest guide stops.
  3. Default to the end of the session. That is when both recorded players pulled the trigger — one right after finishing his egg collecting, one right after a shopping run — and it is the only timing the record actually supports.

If an update ever publishes the multiplier or changes what rebirth resets, the decision changes with it; new versions are collected on our Updates page. For where rebirth fits into the wider loop, see the progression guide. Until then, the timing answer on record is the one both players acted on: rebirth when you are done using your Speed — not before.
